The Dark Impulse Trio is a group that formed at the end of 2014 from Apostolis Kyriakos on guitar, Thanos Bekas on bass and Spiros Economopoulos on drums.

The music of the group has to do with the width spirit of jazz, from blues to be bop and hard bop, modal and latin jazz and their extensions, intenting to the expression through improvisation and communication between the musicians, with respect to the tradition and roots of jazz music and at the same time keeping our eyes opened to the modern happenings of jazz scene.

The group has already arranged stuff from some of the greatest composers and musicians of jazz such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis,Joe Henderson,Steve Swallow presenting it during live appearences in athens.

In May 2017 the band released their first album entitled "A Fake Romance", while in November 2018 they released their second album entitled "Daily Life"
